Jim Bridenstine on his new role at Quantum Space

FROM THE CONVERSATION

"I'm going to quote a friend of mine, Mike Gold, who is at Redwure but he was at NASA with me when I was at NASA. He frequently says, 'We are not going to out centrally plan China.' ... We're not going to out centrally plan China but what we can do is we can out innovate. What we have in this country is a very robust legal system that allows for private markets ... So we have that here in this country in a way that China does not, and I think that's our strength."

—Jim Bridenstine, on how China and the United States' competition in space will play out based on each country's strengths and weaknesses.
