SabreSat: Redwire's vehicle to dart through very low Earth orbit


SabreSat, Redwire Space's satellite for very low Earth orbit, looks more like a dart than a traditional spacecraft. "As you think about aerodynamics, you want the dart to be skinny and long, not stubby and fat," Spence Wise, Redwire senior vice president for missions and platforms, told SpaceNews.
 
Space situational awareness company Privateer acquired geospatial data analysis firm Orbital Insight in a deal announced May 6.

NATO seeks assistance in data exploitation

 
NATO is looking to industry for help speeding up intelligence exploitation and understanding. The 32 NATO allies "bring a wealth of intelligence and security capability to the alliance," Scott Bray, NATO assistant secretary general for intelligence and security, said May 7 at the 2024 GEOINT Symposium here. "We actually share quite well."
